As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you'll be part of the front-line team maintaining and operating critical infrastructure in some of the world's most sophisticated data centers.

Your role involves hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance, working with standby diesel generators, 3-phase electrical systems, UPS units, PDUs, and various cooling systems. You'll monitor building management systems, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to technical issues within SLA requirements.

Responsibilities For Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities

  • Monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
  • Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
  • Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events
  • Perform rack installs and decommissioning
  • Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Technical writing for change management program
  • Monitor and manage daily work requests
  • Provide on-site support for contractors and vendors
  • Maintain mission-critical data center facility equipment

Requirements For Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities

Linux
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, HVAC, fire system experience
  • 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
  • 1+ years experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to lift up to 39 pounds independently
  • Physical ability to maintain balance, work on ladders, and perform construction tasks
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and rotating schedules
