As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you'll be part of the front-line team maintaining and operating critical infrastructure in some of the world's most sophisticated data centers. Your role involves hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance, troubleshooting mission-critical systems including diesel generators, UPS units, cooling systems, and fire/life safety equipment.

Responsibilities For Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities

  • Daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
  • Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
  • Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs
  • Perform rack installs and decommissioning
  • Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Technical writing to support change management program
  • Monitor and resolve daily work requests
  • Provide on-site support of contractors and vendors

Requirements For Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities

Linux
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
  • 1+ years experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to lift up to 39 pounds independently
  • Physical ability to maintain balance, work on ladders, and perform construction tasks
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and rotating schedules
