Your role involves maintaining and operating critical infrastructure systems, including standby diesel generators, 3-phase electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and fire/life safety systems. Responsibilities For Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities
- Daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
- Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
- Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs
- Perform rack installs and decommissioning
- Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
- Technical writing to support change management program
- Monitor daily work requests and manage resolution
- On-site support of contractors and vendors
- Maintain and operate mission-critical data center facility equipment
Requirements For Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
- 1+ years experience with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to lift up to 39 pounds independently
- Physical ability to maintain balance and perform construction tasks on ladder
- Ability to work in rotating 12-hour shifts
