AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join their world-class team maintaining and operating critical infrastructure systems. This role serves as Amazon's front line for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance in some of the world's most sophisticated data centers.
As an EOT, you'll work with cutting-edge technology, maintaining mission-critical systems including standby diesel generators, 3-phase electrical systems, UPS units, PDUs, CRAHU units, centrifugal chillers, and various mechanical systems. You'll be responsible for ensuring 24/7 reliability through regular monitoring, maintenance, and quick problem resolution.

Responsibilities For Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities
- Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
- Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
- Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs
- Perform rack installs and decommissioning
- Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis of electrical and mechanical equipment
- Technical writing for change management program
- Monitor and resolve daily work requests
- Provide on-site support for contractors and vendors
- Work rotating 12-hour shifts as needed
Requirements For Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, HVAC, fire system experience
- 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
- 1+ years experience with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to lift and move up to 39 pounds independently
- Ability to participate in group lifts for 40+ pounds
- Physical ability to maintain balance, work on ladders, and perform construction tasks
