Join Amazon Web Services (AWS), the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, as a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician. You'll be part of the team that maintains and operates critical infrastructure systems in some of the world's most sophisticated data centers. This role involves hands-on work with electrical and mechanical equipment, including standby diesel generators, 3-phase electrical systems, UPS units, and various cooling systems.

As an EOT, you'll conduct daily monitoring rounds, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure 24/7 reliability of data center operations. You'll work alongside global experts, implementing cutting-edge technology and best practices to meet evolving market demands. Responsibilities For Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities

  • Daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
  • Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
  • Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs
  • Perform rack installs and decommissioning
  • Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Technical writing to support change management program
  • Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution
  • On-site support of contractors and vendors
  • Maintain and operate mission-critical data center facility equipment

Requirements For Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities

Linux
  • Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 2+ years of electrical or mechanical, HVAC, fire system experience
  • 2+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
  • 2+ years experience with Microsoft Office products
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Ability to lift up to 39 pounds independently
  • Physical ability to work on ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and rotating schedules
