As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you'll be part of the front-line team maintaining and operating critical infrastructure in some of the world's most sophisticated data centers. You'll work with cutting-edge technology, handling everything from electrical systems and mechanical equipment to fire/life safety systems.
The role involves hands-on work with mission-critical equipment including standby diesel generators, 3-phase electrical systems, UPS units, PDUs, CRAHU units, centrifugal chillers, and cooling towers. You'll be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting these systems to ensure 24/7 reliability.

Responsibilities For Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities
- Daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
- Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
- Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs
- Perform rack installs and decommissioning
- Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
- Technical writing to support change management program
- Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution
- On-site support of contractors and vendors
- Work rotating 12-hour shifts with possible on-call rotations
Requirements For Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
- 1+ years experience with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to lift up to 39 pounds independently
- Physical ability to maintain balance, work on ladders, and perform construction tasks
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts
