Data Center Facility Manager

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking an energetic Data Center Facility Manager to serve as a technical resource and leader within Amazon data centers. The role involves overseeing the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring overall availability and reliability of data center operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment
• Maintaining high reliability and performance while minimizing operating costs
• Hands-on troubleshooting of mission-critical equipment
• Managing teams of 24x7 engineering technicians
• Engaging in improvement projects and driving them from conception to completion
• Coordinating with third-party vendors
• Managing operations budget and expenditures
• Serving as the afterhours on-call Data Center Facility Manager for the region

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of experience working in data centers with an emphasis on electrical/mechanical building and equipment operation
• Excellent understanding of critical data center systems
• Proven track record of people management and team development
• Problem-solving skills and ability to maintain SLAs
• Commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion
