Data Center Facility Manager, Data Center Community

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We're seeking an energetic Data Center Facility Manager to serve as a technical resource and leader within Amazon data centers. The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing all aspects of the data center's critical physical infrastructure
• Managing teams of 24x7 engineering technicians
• Engaging in improvement projects
• Coordinating with third-party vendors
• Managing operations budget and expenditures
• Serving as the afterhours on-call Data Center Facility Manager for the region

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience working in data centers with an emphasis on electrical/mechanical building and equipment operation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in critical data center operations
• Proven track record of people management and developing teams
• Ability to solve problems at their root and understand broader context
• Ability to maintain SLAs through proactive issue detection and reporting
