In this role, you'll be part of the AWS Infrastructure Services team that owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. As a Facility Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of the data center's physical infrastructure, managing 24x7 shift technicians, contractors, and vendors. You'll be responsible for maintaining high availability while ensuring all work meets quality standards and safety protocols. The role involves managing critical systems including switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, and cooling systems.
The position requires strong leadership skills, with responsibilities including team development, performance management, and budget oversight. You'll drive safety culture, lead improvement projects, and serve as an escalation point for facilities-related issues. The role may support multiple locations and assist in new facility buildouts.
