AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Data Center Infrastructure Delivery Manager to join their team in Northern Virginia. Responsibilities For Data Center Infrastructure Delivery Manager

  • Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators
  • Manage inbound capacity from receiving through deployment stages
  • Manage the installation network and cabling infrastructure
  • Guide, train and educate staff on best practices
  • Manage tasks and deliverables across projects
  • Recommend and oversee policies and procedures
  • Provide weekly reports to the data center manager
  • Coordinate team resources for project and delivery needs
  • Recruit and train data technicians
  • Host weekly staff meetings
  • Drive compliance to Amazon performance management requirements
  • Conduct daily in-person safety inspections

Requirements For Data Center Infrastructure Delivery Manager

Linux
  • 2+ years of experience in a management/team lead function
  • 1-2 years of experience in a data center technology OR operations environment
  • Experience with building physical data center such as copper/fiber cabling
  • 3+ years of knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment
  • 3+ years of TCP/IP networking knowledge
  • Experience developing operational metrics to drive efficiencies
  • Experience with lean methodologies and Six-Sigma or similar qualification
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
