Description For Data Center Non-Destructive Testing Engineer, DC Communities

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly motivated Non-Destructive Testing Engineer to join their growing Operations Services team. This critical role involves maintaining and testing data center critical systems, including power distribution, mechanical, plumbing, building automation, and structural equipment. The ideal candidate should be autonomous, detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and experience in supporting critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply non-destructive testing techniques to install, maintain, and troubleshoot data center critical systems
  • Promote safety and comply with security protocols
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and management
  • Develop creative solutions to complex problems
  • Execute predictive and preventive maintenance programs
  • Provide support for various events and outages

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear) or related field
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in electrical or mechanical industry
  • 3+ years of data center or mission-critical facilities experience
  • ASNT level II or III certification in Non-Destructive Testing (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of physical concepts and electrical best practices
  • Project management and problem-solving skills
