Description For Data Center Operation Technician (IT Engineer)

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking talented technicians for Data Center Operations. The role involves 7x24 roster duty, incident response, break-fix troubleshooting, media operations, capacity management, and site maintenance. Candidates should be eager to learn, self-motivated, and able to adapt to a fast-changing environment. The position may require shift work including weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities: • 7x24 roster duty in data center operations • Incident first responder and hands-on support • Break-fix and troubleshooting according to process guidelines • Maintain proper media operations • Capacity landing and decommissioning • Site management and maintain tidiness in operation areas • Learn and develop operation and support processes with innovation and automation

Basic Qualifications: • Interest in learning computing hardware and operation systems • Basic understanding of incident response and prioritization • Good written and verbal communication in English • Up to 1 year experience in server/network hardware and operation systems maintenance/troubleshooting (Fresh graduates are welcome)

Preferred Qualifications: • Major in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines (not required) • Knowledge of Computer Server Hardware • Knowledge of Linux Operating System • Knowledge of operations, processes, and continuous process improvement • Literacy in security and customer data protection
