Description For Data Center Operations Support Engineer, DCO

AWS Infrastructure Services is at the heart of Amazon's cloud operations, responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. This role offers an opportunity to join the team that keeps the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and their critical infrastructure components including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment.

As a Data Center Support Engineer, you'll become a technical leader and subject matter expert, owning support activities for multiple services and working directly with development teams to enhance service support. You'll operate independently, resolving complex issues and understanding the deep architecture of supported services. Your responsibilities include reading and fixing application code, mentoring other engineers, creating documentation, and developing tools for operational efficiency.

The role combines technical expertise with leadership, requiring skills in troubleshooting, automation, and system optimization. You'll work on large-scope support projects, lead smaller teams, and contribute to operational policies and procedures. The position offers exposure to cutting-edge cloud technology while working with a diverse team of professionals across AWS.

AWS values diverse experiences and maintains an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas. The company provides extensive career development opportunities, including knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and resources for professional growth. You'll be part of a team that prioritizes work-life harmony and celebrates diversity through employee-led affinity groups and ongoing learning experiences.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to combine technical expertise with leadership in a fast-paced, innovative environment while contributing to the infrastructure that powers much of the modern internet.
