Description For Data Center Security Manager, DC Security

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Security Manager for their Paris area data centers. This role is crucial in maintaining the physical security posture of AWS facilities, working directly under the Cluster Security Manager or Area Security Manager. The position involves managing day-to-day security operations, overseeing security guard forces, and ensuring the highest standards of facility protection.

AWS Infrastructure Services is the backbone of AWS's global operations, responsible for keeping the cloud running efficiently and securely. The role demands a security professional who can handle complex situations, manage security systems, and coordinate with various teams to maintain optimal security standards.

Responsibilities For Data Center Security Manager, DC Security

  • Manage day-to-day physical security operations of data center sites
  • Respond to security situations based on direction from Cluster or Regional Security Manager
  • Support on-site contractor security team as primary security contact
  • Oversee access control systems and badge deliveries
  • Investigate security events via alarm and CCTV monitoring system
  • Coordinate with Security Operation Center during security incidents
  • Create and improve procedures using data and metrics
  • Perform security inspections, audits and investigations
  • Provide on-call support for out-of-hours emergency activities

Requirements For Data Center Security Manager, DC Security

  • 7+ years of experience in public or private security industry
  • 7+ years of experience using data and metrics to improve processes
  • Must have or be eligible to pass the SSIAP1 and TFP APS
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to company tools
  • Metrics oriented
