Description For Data Center Technical Person Jr

Our teams support operations of some of the world's most powerful data centers and maintain all critical infrastructure systems to be well-prepared for any situation. AWS has the world's largest cloud computing portfolio.

As part of the team, you'll work in some of the planet's most sophisticated and secure data centers. Our operations team helps maintain them this way, always seeking to work with the brightest minds to help test and implement the newest technologies and work practices to meet the demands of an ever-changing market.

The role involves handling medium complexity projects, including rack installations and decommissioning, operational readings, and infrastructure installation activities. You'll monitor performance of critical equipment, work with contractors, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.

The position includes a physical component requiring the ability to lift and carry equipment up to 18kg. You may need to work in tight spaces or elevated locations, following health and safety guidelines. The data center operates 24/7 with on-call shifts.

Responsibilities For Data Center Technical Person Jr

  • Handle medium complexity projects
  • Perform rack installations and decommissioning

  • Ensure work compliance with local practices, procedures, and legislation

Requirements For Data Center Technical Person Jr

Linux
  • High School Technical degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related areas
  • 3+ months of relevant experience with data centers or critical mission facilities (e.g., hospital, military installation, public security facility)
  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 18kg
  • Willing to work in 24x7 on-call shifts
