Data Centre Chief Engineer, InfraOps Cluster Operations

AWS Infrastructure Services is at the heart of Amazon's cloud operations, responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS's global infrastructure. As a Data Centre Chief Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within AWS data centres. This position demands expertise in maintaining 99.999% uptime for mission-critical servers and managing complex infrastructure.

The role combines hands-on technical leadership with project management responsibilities. You'll oversee Engineering Operations Technicians (EOT), manage preventative maintenance, handle emergency responses, and drive innovation in facility operations. Working with cutting-edge technology including standby diesel generators, UPS systems, cooling systems, and building automation, you'll ensure AWS maintains its world-class infrastructure standards.
