Data Centre Engineering Operations Chief Engineer, ARN/AMS/LUX- DCEO

Amazon is looking for a Chief Engineer to join our Data Center Engineering Operations Team in Sweden. Data center Engineering Operation teams maintain the critical physical infrastructure that supports Amazon Web Services. The Data Center Chief Engineer (CE) is responsible for ensuring that all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in data centers
• Act as a technical referent for Engineering Operation Technicians
• Assist in the design and build out of new facilities
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
• Create and deploy new standard practices for Engineering Operations Technicians, Chief Engineers, and vendor support teams
• Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians
• Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to by vendor and Amazon staff
• Manage large scale impacting technical projects and new region support

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant industry experience. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of data center infrastructure, network design, and BMS systems.
