AWS Infrastructure Services is at the heart of Amazon's cloud operations, responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. This role within the Infrastructure Operations (Data Center) Team is crucial for maintaining AWS's physical infrastructure and ensuring optimal operational performance.

As a Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing critical facilities, including risk management, maintenance planning, and vendor coordination. You'll work in a dynamic environment that supports AWS's rapidly growing business and customers 24/7, ensuring the highest standards for safety, security, availability, productivity, capacity, efficiency, and cost.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge data center technology and infrastructure. Responsibilities For Data Centre Engineering Operations (Level 4), Infraops

  • Act as site primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage minor and major planned and unplanned site works for critical infrastructure
  • On-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors
  • Establish performance benchmarks and prepare reports on facility infrastructure operations
  • Generate change management requests & incident management tickets
  • Coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety and performance
  • Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs
  • Perform rack installs, rack decommissioning, and facility MEP management
  • Participate in 24x7 rotating shift roster

Requirements For Data Centre Engineering Operations (Level 4), Infraops

Linux
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in maintaining a DC or Critical space facility
  • Familiar with Service Management systems (Problem and Change)
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data center environment
  • Experience in management of vendors/contractors
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical degree preferred
