Data Engineer - AI/ML, Amazon Robotics

Amazon Fulfillment Technologies and Robotics is seeking a Data Engineer to support their Fleet Mobility AI program, focusing on developing generative AI and foundation models for automation and robotics. The role involves working with a fleet of over 750,000 mobile robots and building data pipelines for training state-of-the-art Foundation Models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain data pipelines for collecting, cleaning, and storing data from multiple sources
• Work with cross-functional teams to analyze data requirements for AI models
• Implement data quality and validation mechanisms
• Optimize data processing solutions for scalability
• Support Science teams with downstream model use cases

Technical Requirements:

• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• Strong background in distributed systems and data storage
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipelines
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Docker, and Shell scripting
• Experience with AWS technologies (Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR)
• Knowledge of non-relational databases and data stores
