Description For Data Engineer, Amazon Customer Service

Amazon's Worldwide Defect Elimination (WWDE) team is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Voice of Customer (VoC) team. This role is crucial in building Amazon's flagship suite of VoC products that connect internal employees with customer experience data and insights.

The position involves developing scalable data pipelines for both structured and unstructured data, working with cutting-edge technologies including machine learning models and generative AI. You'll be transforming billions of customer interactions into actionable insights while building automated real-time systems for defect identification and resolution.

Key initiatives for 2025 include:

  • Implementing ML-based systems to codify customer issues and automatically detect root causes
  • Expanding GenAI capabilities for automated defect detection
  • Enhancing customer feedback coverage with multi-modal support
  • Improving VoC mechanism observability across tools

You'll collaborate with Software Developers, BI Engineers, Scientists, and Program Managers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong team culture. The role offers exposure to the latest big data technologies and opportunities to work with statistical and Natural Language modeling.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $118,900 to $205,600 per year based on location, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, parental leave, and 401(k).
