Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Engineer to join their US Federal Professional Services team, working directly with US intelligence community agencies. This role combines technical expertise in data engineering with mission-critical work for national security customers.
The position requires designing and implementing sophisticated data architectures and large-scale data integration services. You'll work with the AWS Big Data stack, including technologies like Python, Redshift, QuickSight, Glue/Lake Formation, EMR/Spark, and Athena. The role demands both technical excellence and strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and translate complex requirements into actionable solutions.
Key responsibilities include designing data warehouse/data lake infrastructure, implementing real-time and batch data ingestion routines, and operating high-performance data storage solutions. - Design, implement, and support data warehouse/data lake infrastructure using AWS Big Data stack
- Implement data ingestion routines both real time and batch
- Design and operate large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data storage solutions
- Gather business and functional requirements
- Collaborate with engineers/scientists to help adopt best practices
- Improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes
Requirements For Data Engineer, Data and Machine Learning, WWPS U.S Federal ProServe
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field
- 3+ years experience with data warehouse technical architecture
- Experience in relational database concepts with solid knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Must be a US Citizen
