Amazon's Device, Digital & Alexa Support (D2AS) organization is seeking a Data Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and customer support, developing data solutions that power Amazon's device and digital services.

As a Data Engineer, you'll be instrumental in creating and maintaining data architectures that support Amazon's customer-facing products and internal analytics. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies including Spark, EMR, Python, Redshift, Glue, and S3 to build scalable, automated, and fault-tolerant data solutions.

Responsibilities For Data Engineer, Device, Digital, & Alexa Support

  • Work closely with data scientists and business intelligence engineers to create robust data architectures and pipelines
  • Develop advanced BI dashboards and applications
  • Design, create, and maintain metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards
  • Navigate ambiguous environments using data-driven insights
  • Develop and manage scalable, automated data solutions
  • Maintain operational excellence and enhance core infrastructure

Requirements For Data Engineer, Device, Digital, & Alexa Support

Python
  • 1+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with query languages (SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala)
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, KornShell)
  • Experience with AWS technologies (Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda)
  • Experience with data visualization software
  • Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree
