Description For Data Engineer, GMAC FP&A

Amazon's Global Media and Entertainment (GME) organization is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Finance team's new Fintech initiative. This role sits at the intersection of finance and technology, focusing on building and operating systems that deliver both financial reporting and operational analytics capabilities. The position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while handling data for major entertainment platforms including Prime Video, Amazon Music, Twitch, Audible, and Amazon Games.

The role demands expertise in data modeling, architecture design, and software development, with a focus on creating automated and scalable platforms. You'll be instrumental in executing a multi-year roadmap aimed at delivering automated reporting solutions and accelerating predictive forecasting capabilities. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $118,900 to $205,600 based on location and experience, plus additional benefits including equity and sign-on bonuses. Responsibilities For Data Engineer, GMAC FP&A

  • Architect and develop end to end scalable data applications and data pipelines
  • Design and build data reporting solutions across different visualization platforms
  • Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for reporting, dashboards, data analyses and model development
  • Build data infrastructure and manage AWS resources
  • Collaborate with other teams to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
  • Participate in data strategy and road map exercises, data warehouse design and implementation

Requirements For Data Engineer, GMAC FP&A

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Ability to query, program, and perform analysis on large datasets using SQL languages and Python
  • Experience with AWS technologies (preferred)
  • Experience with non-relational databases (preferred)
