The AWS Kumo team is seeking a Data Engineer to join their innovative organization that provides technology and expertise for AWS customers. This role is part of a team that owns crucial customer-facing applications like Trusted Advisor, Personal Health Dashboard, AWS Forums, and Support Center, as well as internal tooling. The ideal candidate will work closely with BI Engineers, Data Scientists, ML scientists, and other stakeholders to develop and improve data architecture, implement advanced analytics, and drive insights from large datasets.

  • Develop and improve data architecture, data quality, monitoring and data availability
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to implement advanced analytics algorithms
  • Partner with BAs to build and verify hypothesis to improve AWS Support business
  • Improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes
  • Keep up to date with advances in big data technologies
  • Design data architecture to scale with increased data sets

Requirements For Data Engineer I, AWS Kumo Analytics

Python
  • 1+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with one or more query language (SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala)
  • Experience with one or more scripting language (Python, KornShell)
