Amazon Music's DISCO (Data, Insights, Science & Optimization) team is seeking a Data Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial in helping make sense of the vast amount of data that Amazon Music generates daily. The position involves working with petabyte-scale data systems, managing billions of daily events, and developing sophisticated data pipelines using cutting-edge technologies.

As a Data Engineer at Amazon Music, you'll be part of a team that enables data-driven decision-making across the organization. You'll work with technologies like AWS Redshift, S3, EMR, EC2, DynamoDB, and Kinesis Firehose. Responsibilities For Data Engineer I, DISCO CPT

  • Build and maintain automated self-service data solutions
  • Manage data exchange store (Data Lake) and EMR/Spark processing layer
  • Build data university and partner with Product, Marketing, BI, and ML teams
  • Develop big data pipelines
  • Manage Redshift and SQL based pipelines
  • Perform maintenance tasks on the Redshift cluster
  • Infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting

Requirements For Data Engineer I, DISCO CPT

Python
  • 2+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with one or more scripting language (e.g., Python, KornShell)
  • Experience in Unix
  • Experience in Troubleshooting the issues related to Data and Infrastructure issues
