Data Engineer I, ROW Central Data Engineering Team

The Amazon ARTS (Analytics and Research Tech Services) team is seeking a Data Engineer to join their ROW (Rest of World) Central Data Engineering team. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining core analytics capabilities for countries outside North America and EU.

The position offers an opportunity to work with one of the world's largest data warehouse environments, where you'll handle massive datasets and create sophisticated analytical solutions. You'll be responsible for building fault-tolerant, self-healing data flow solutions using AWS technologies including Redshift, S3, and RDS.

Key responsibilities include:

• Contributing to technical discussions and infrastructure design
• Leading cross-team programs with minimal supervision
• Developing and optimizing data pipelines (daily/intra-day/real-time)
• Maintaining and optimizing data infrastructure performance
• Supporting analytics and data science programs through coding work
• Helping team members understand internal Amazon tech products

The role splits time between infrastructure maintenance (30%) and coding work for cross-functional analytics programs (70%). You'll work alongside data scientists, business intelligence engineers, and product managers, using quantitative approaches to deliver high-quality data products to customers across India, Japan, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Singapore, Turkey, and MENA.
