Description For Data Engineer II, APM Product Finance

This is an exciting opportunity for a professional eager to shape the technology landscape within a rapidly expanding Analytics team in the APM Ads Finance organization. You will play a key role as Data Engineer in delivering data solutions that power internal dashboards, product insights, recommendation engines, and more.

We are looking for a motivated Data Engineer with strong technical and analytical skillsets to join the APM Finance team supporting Devices, Video, Audio, and PubTech Finance. This position will be responsible for developing and managing large, complex datasets that are both scalable and easily accessible.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, implementing, and supporting various data solutions such as data lake, ETL pipeline, data warehouse, and data integration with the rest of the Amazon Ads system.
  • Interfacing with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from various sources using SQL, scripting, and AWS big data technologies.
  • Working closely with product teams, software developers, and Business Intelligence Engineers to explore new data sources and deliver data.
  • Ensuring data privacy, security, and compliance with financial standards in collaboration with the data governance team.

The APM Finance Analytics team supports ads businesses for Devices (e.g., FireTV), Audio, Video (e.g., Twitch, TNF, Freevee), and Publisher Technology. These are nascent, high-growth, and high-visibility areas with stakeholders across Advertising, Amazon Music, FireTV, Alexa, and Prime Video.

The team is known for being collaborative and focused on creating world-class ad products and consumer experiences. Success typically involves partnering with others in the broader finance team.

This role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to data-driven financial decision-making in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
