Description For Data Engineer II, Managed Operations Engineering & Data Science (MOEDS)

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Engineer II to join their Managed Operations (MO) organization, established in April 2023. This role is part of an innovative lab focused on reducing operational load and toil through long-term engineering projects. The position sits within the Data Science & Data Engineering teams, which leverage data science to identify operational trends across AWS and inform high-value investment decisions.

As a Data Engineer II, you'll be instrumental in building and maintaining data pipelines that support AWS's massive cloud infrastructure. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies and be responsible for developing robust data models and architectures that ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the organization. The role requires expertise in distributed systems, data modeling, and ETL pipeline development.

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides foundational services like Amazon S3 and EC2, along with continuous product innovations. You'll be working with a team that supports the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps services.
