The Global Talent Management and Compensation's (GTMC) Integrated Talent Development Systems (ITDS) org is seeking an experienced, self-directed Data Engineer to drive projects and build data solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the long-term analytics architectural plan and improve ML infrastructure efficiency. The position is part of the TIDES team, which provides end-to-end analytics services for GTMC domain teams.
As a Data Engineer III, you'll be responsible for scaling existing infrastructure, incorporating new data sources, and building robust data pipelines for production systems. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to drive scalable solutions and own the architecture of the data platform. The role requires expertise in cloud-based data infrastructure, ETL pipeline development, and best practices implementation.
The team serves as a force-multiplier for stakeholder teams, providing analytics thought-leadership and creating self-service tools. They work proactively with business teams, unlocking analytics capabilities and serving as connective tissue for cross-organizational initiatives. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $139,100 to $240,500 based on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of data engineering experience, strong SQL skills, and proficiency in languages like Python, Java, or Scala. Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark) is preferred. The role emphasizes mentorship and development of junior engineers while maintaining a focus on delivering business value through data-driven solutions.
