Amazon Worldwide Advertising is seeking a Data Engineer III to join their Partner Experience and Growth (PEG) organization. This role sits within one of Amazon's fastest-growing and most profitable businesses, where you'll leverage advanced analytics and experimentation to create value for advertising partners and customers.

As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing technical leadership and building end-to-end analytical solutions that are highly available, scalable, stable, secure, and cost-effective. The role involves working with large-scale, high-volume data structures for analytics and data science, implementing both real-time and batch data ingestion routines using AWS technologies and big data tools.

The Data Engineering team focuses on enabling partner business teams to become more data-driven by synthesizing data from various sources into actionable information. You'll maintain the partner data platform (Barnegat) and support end-to-end data engineering needs for multiple stakeholders, including Analytics, Science, Finance, Partner Trust, Business Development, Product, and other Advertisement teams.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing data structures, creating ETL/ELT processes, gathering business requirements, and collaborating with engineers and scientists to create efficient algorithms for optimization, statistical analysis, prediction, clustering, and machine learning. You'll also work on improving reporting processes and automating self-service modeling.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of data engineering experience, strong SQL skills, and proficiency in modern programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala. Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and EMR is preferred. This role offers competitive compensation ranging from $139,100 to $240,500 based on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.
