Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Infrastructure Services & Supply Chain Finance (AISSCF) Analytics team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of cloud computing and data engineering, handling massive datasets that drive critical business decisions.

The position involves designing and implementing scalable data infrastructure that supports the entire AISSCF organization. You'll work alongside other Data Engineers, Business Intelligence engineers, and Product managers, collaborating closely with finance and business stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.

Key responsibilities include building secured data platforms, developing and maintaining metrics and dashboards, optimizing query performance, and implementing best practices in data analysis and reporting. You'll be instrumental in automating processes and creating self-service solutions for data access.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of data engineering experience, with strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and ETL pipeline construction. Experience with AWS technologies (such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue) and non-relational databases is highly valued.

Responsibilities For Data Engineer, ISCAP Finance Business Process Intelligence

  • Design, implement, and support a platform providing secured access to large datasets
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards
  • Tune application and query performance using profiling tools and SQL
  • Learn and understand Amazon's data resources and their appropriate usage
  • Keep up to date with advances in data technologies and run pilots
  • Improve reporting and analysis processes, automating self-service support for datasets
  • Build scalable, secured and robust data infrastructure
  • Work with Data Engineers, Business Intelligence engineers, Product managers and finance stakeholders

Requirements For Data Engineer, ISCAP Finance Business Process Intelligence

Python
  • 3+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with SQL
  • Preferred: Experience with AWS technologies (Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda)
  • Preferred: Experience with non-relational databases / data stores
