Data Engineer, Payfort

Amazon Payment Services (APS) is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team in building the next generation of online payment systems. APS is a leading payment service provider in the MENA region, operating across 8 countries and serving thousands of merchants. The role involves working with systems that process payments for over 100 million customers, handling tens of billions of dollars annually with high accuracy and mission-critical availability.

As a Data Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of managing data requests, maintaining operational excellence, and enhancing core infrastructure. The position requires expertise in SQL, data modeling, and ETL pipeline construction. You'll work with various query languages and scripting tools to ensure robust data processing and analysis.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of data engineering experience and be comfortable working with big data technologies. Experience with tools like Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and EMR is highly valued. You'll be part of a team that innovates payment solutions, supporting features like currency choice, in-store payments, pay on delivery, credit/debit card payments, seller disbursements, and gift cards.
