Description For Data Engineer, Selling Partner Insights and Analytics

Amazon's Selling Partner Insights and Analytics (SPIA) organization is seeking a Data Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to architect and build data platforms that directly impact sellers' experience on Amazon's global e-commerce platform. As a key member of the Central Analytics Team within Amazon's Selling Partner Support Organization, you'll work with cutting-edge AWS big data technologies and have access to vast amounts of data.

The position requires expertise in data engineering, with a focus on building scalable data infrastructure solutions and ETL pipelines. You'll be working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment where your contributions will directly influence how sellers engage with Amazon's platform worldwide. The role combines technical expertise with business acumen, as you'll collaborate with business owners and technical leaders to design and implement data solutions.

Your day-to-day work will involve designing data infrastructure, building robust pipelines, and creating datasets that power reporting, analysis, and machine learning models. Responsibilities For Data Engineer, Selling Partner Insights and Analytics

  • Design, implement and support scalable data infrastructure solutions
  • Integrate diverse data sources, aggregate, and curate data for reporting and analysis
  • Work with business owners and Tech leaders to gather infrastructure requirements
  • Design scalable architecture for building robust applications and pipelines
  • Build data pipelines and data-sets to meet business needs
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and implement where appropriate

Requirements For Data Engineer, Selling Partner Insights and Analytics

Python
  • 1+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with one or more query language (SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala)
  • Experience with one or more scripting language (Python, KornShell)
