Description For Data Engineer, Supply Chain Science Intelligence Analytics team

Amazon is seeking a Data Engineer II (DE II) to join the North America Supply Chain (NASC)'s Science, Intelligence, & Analytics (NASC-SIA) team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, and capable of creating and maintaining automated processes efficiently. They will be responsible for setting the vision, defining the roadmap, and collaborating with stakeholders across organizations to deliver results, with a strong focus on supporting scientific modeling.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and maintaining an AWS Cloud Infrastructure for secure storage, processing, and delivery of NASC planning data.
  • Building and supporting a modern data architecture integrating various AWS data technologies.
  • Collaborating with business leaders, Business Intelligence Engineers, and Scientists to develop business-friendly software solutions.
  • Creating functional databases, applications, and servers to support modeling using AWS and machine learning-related services.
  • Developing and managing large-scale data processing pipelines for efficient and safe processing of petabyte-scale data.

The role offers an opportunity to make an immediate and lasting impact on both internal and external customers, and to influence Amazon's Supply Chain business at scale. The successful candidate will work with various AWS Cloud and Data Technologies, understand distributed computing principles, and be enthusiastic about working with diverse data forms, types, and volumes.

As part of the NASC-SIA team, the Data Engineer II will be responsible for building and maintaining critical data infrastructure, data management platforms, and planning tools that support NASC's planning and operational needs. Responsibilities For Data Engineer, Supply Chain Science Intelligence Analytics team

  • Implement & maintain an AWS Cloud Infrastructure to securely store, process, and deliver NASC planning data

Requirements For Data Engineer, Supply Chain Science Intelligence Analytics team

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets
  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
