Join Amazon's Worldwide Operations Finance Standardization & Automation (SnA) team as a Data Engineer in one of the world's largest data warehouse environments. You'll be responsible for establishing reliable data platforms and automating data engineering processes to drive analytics and reporting. The role involves working with AWS services including Redshift, Glue, S3, and implementing solutions using Python, Airflow, and SQL. You'll collaborate with business owners, Product teams, and Tech leaders to gather requirements and build data pipelines. The position offers the opportunity to work on complex data models for Amazon's Inbound & Outbound Transportation business, implementing data governance practices, and delivering scalable solutions. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about converting data into actionable insights. Responsibilities For Data Engineer, WW Standardization & Automation(WWSnA)
- Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data using Python, SQL and AWS big data technologies
- Design and implement complex pipelines and other Data Engineering solutions
- Work closely with Senior Data Engineers, Product Managers and BI Engineers to explore new data sources and deliver the data
- Create new solutions based on team and stakeholder needs
- Establish reliable and accessible data platform
- Implement data governance practices and define data access and quality standards
- Design, implement and support scalable data infrastructure solutions
- Create solutions to integrate with multi heterogeneous data sources
Requirements For Data Engineer, WW Standardization & Automation(WWSnA)
- 1+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with one or more query language (SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala)
- Experience with one or more scripting language (Python, KornShell)
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing
