Join Amazon's Worldwide Amazon Stores FinTech (WWASFT) team as a Data Engineer in one of the world's largest and most complex data warehouse environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge AWS big data technologies while supporting Amazon's global Amazon Stores organization.

As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data infrastructure solutions that integrate with multiple heterogeneous data sources. You'll work on aggregating and retrieving data efficiently, curating datasets for reporting, analysis, and machine learning models. The role requires both technical expertise and excellent communication skills to work effectively with business owners and tech leaders.

The WWASFT team serves as the dedicated technology partner for Amazon's global Amazon Stores organization, supporting over 4,000 Finance end-users across all Consumer and Operations finance verticals. You'll be part of a team that maintains a suite of centralized fintech products enabling critical financial activities such as planning, variance analysis, allocations, data management, analytics, reporting, and compliance functions.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $118,900 to $205,600 based on location and experience, plus additional benefits including equity and sign-on payments. You'll work with state-of-the-art technologies including AWS services, and have the opportunity to impact financial systems at a global scale.

Responsibilities For Data Engineer, WWASFT

  • Design and develop pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading
  • Oversee and improve production operations, including optimizing data delivery
  • Establish and maintain best practices for data integration solutions
  • Work closely with Product teams, Finance Teams, and other stakeholders
  • Debug data processing and orchestration code following best coding standards

Requirements For Data Engineer, WWASFT

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction
  • Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language (Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS)
  • Experience with AWS technologies (preferred)
  • Experience with non-relational databases (preferred)
