Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Facilities Senior Manager to lead their Data Center Engineering Operations team in IAD Chantilly. This role combines technical leadership with people management, requiring an experienced professional to oversee a large team across multiple data centers.

The position demands a leader who can drive operational excellence in a 24/7 environment, managing both the technical and human aspects of data center operations. The ideal candidate will bring experience from facility operations, data centers, industrial manufacturing, or military backgrounds.

As DCEO Cluster Manager, you'll be responsible for leading a team of 80+ professionals, managing complex infrastructure, and ensuring the continuous operation of AWS data centers. Requirements For DCEO Cluster Manager, IAD Chantilly DCEO

Linux

Bachelor degree in Engineering or relevant discipline
8+ years of critical facility engineering and/or operations experience
5+ years in people management capacity
In-depth knowledge of Data Center Facilities
Ability to deliver facility expansion projects on time and within budget
Experience in managing high growth operation team
Experience managing a team of 80+ people on 24/7 rotating shift

This joining process can cascade, meaning that if you join i and i+1, and the new combined processing power is less than i+2, you can then join the combined server with i+2, and so on. The goal is to maximize the number of these larger servers. For example: Consider the array [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]. You can join 1 and 2 to form 3. Then you can join 3 and 3 to form 6. Then you can join 6 and 4 to form 10. Finally, you can join 10 and 5 to form 15, resulting in one server with processing power 15. Consider the array [5, 4, 3, 2, 1]. You cannot join any servers because the processing power is always decreasing. Consider the array [1, 3, 2, 4, 1, 5]. You can join 1 and 3 to get 4. You cannot join 4 and 2.
