Description For DCEO Engineer 3, DC Communities

Join AWS Infrastructure Services, the team responsible for keeping the world's largest cloud platform running. As a DCEO Engineer 3, you'll be part of the front-line team maintaining and operating critical infrastructure in some of the world's most sophisticated data centers. The role involves hands-on work with electrical and mechanical equipment, including standby diesel generators, 3-phase electrical systems, UPS units, PDUs, CRAHU units, centrifugal chillers, and various cooling systems.

You'll work alongside the brightest minds in the industry, helping to test and implement cutting-edge technology while maintaining 24/7 reliability. The position requires technical expertise in both electrical and mechanical systems, with responsibilities ranging from daily equipment monitoring to complex troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities For DCEO Engineer 3, DC Communities

  • Monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
  • Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
  • Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events
  • Perform rack installs and decommissioning
  • Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Technical writing for change management program
  • Monitor and manage daily work requests
  • Provide on-site support of contractors and vendors
  • Work rotating 12-hour shifts as needed

Requirements For DCEO Engineer 3, DC Communities

  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, HVAC, fire system experience
  • 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
  • 1+ years experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to lift and move up to 39 pounds independently
  • Ability to participate in group lifts for 40+ pounds
  • Ability to work in conditions requiring ear protection
