AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Engineer to join their team responsible for maintaining the physical infrastructure of AWS data centers. This role is crucial in ensuring 24/7 operational excellence, managing critical facilities, and supporting AWS's rapidly growing global infrastructure.
The position requires a skilled professional with experience in critical facilities management who can handle day-to-day operations, maintenance of critical infrastructure, and vendor management. You'll work in a dynamic environment where you'll be responsible for ensuring all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment operates within contract parameters.
As a DCEO Engineer, you'll collaborate with diverse teams across AWS, including IT managers, Networking, Logistics, Safety, and Security teams. You'll be involved in project coordination, capacity management, and optimization of plant safety, performance, reliability, and sustainability. The role offers opportunities to drive and implement projects that increase facility capacity, efficiency, and reliability.
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in maintaining data center infrastructure, strong technical understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, and familiarity with service management systems. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience is preferred.
