Amazon's Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Customer Experience (MSP CX) team is seeking an Operations Engineer to drive innovation in fulfillment technology and robotics. This role focuses on developing and delivering next-generation technology systems for fulfillment centers across Europe. The position involves managing large-scale robotics projects, coordinating installations, and ensuring optimal performance of automated systems.

The role combines project management expertise with technical knowledge, requiring travel across European facilities. You'll work at the intersection of hardware engineering, technical program management, and customer experience, ensuring deployed solutions meet business requirements and customer needs.

As part of the MSP CX team, you'll be responsible for validating, deploying, and supporting MSP solutions globally. The role involves three key pillars: Quality Assurance, Deployment & Ramp-up, and Support. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including maintenance, operations, and engineering to ensure successful project delivery.

This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of automated fulfillment solutions while working with cutting-edge robotics technology. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with project management skills and a customer-centric mindset. You'll be part of a team that transforms standalone work-cells into integrated solutions that are safe, efficient, and easy to maintain.

The role requires extensive travel (up to 90%) across Europe, offering exposure to various facilities and technologies. You'll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, drive engineering improvements, and help set standards for deployment execution and machine performance. Responsibilities For Deployment & Ramp-up Engineer, Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Customer Experience

  • Manage development of project plans and technical solutions
  • Influence internal and external partner teams and suppliers
  • Own tactical planning on installation of cross-functional projects
  • Support program/product strategy for annual planning
  • Own communication of program execution and performance
  • Coordinate and execute installation, commissioning, and performance ramp up
  • Drive continuous improvement ideas into deployment cycle time
  • Detail engineering design improvements to hardware engineering teams

Requirements For Deployment & Ramp-up Engineer, Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Customer Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) or other STEM field degrees
  • Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment
  • Experience directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
  • Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)
  • Ability to travel upwards of 90%
