Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is seeking a Design Engineer to join their North America Design Engineering Team. This role is crucial in supporting the expansion of AMZL's Delivery Station Network across North America. The position involves designing and optimizing delivery and sortation networks while ensuring safety, customer experience, quality, and cost objectives are met.

The ideal candidate will lead innovation efforts in delivery station processes, building design, and standardization across the Last Mile delivery network. They will work with cutting-edge automated material handling equipment, robotics, and high-speed manufacturing systems. The role requires collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to develop efficient solutions within tight timeframes.

This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $68,900 to $126,400 based on geographic location, plus additional benefits including equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive medical coverage. The role requires 25% travel globally and provides opportunities to work with senior executives and technical leaders in shaping the future of Amazon's delivery infrastructure.

The successful candidate will bring at least 5 years of relevant experience in engineering design, process optimization, and project management. Responsibilities For Design Engineer, AMZL Design Engineering

  • Lead and coordinate design and innovation efforts for delivery station network
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions

Requirements For Design Engineer, AMZL Design Engineering

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Operations
  • 5+ years Experience with automated material handling equipment and systems including robotics
  • 5+ years Experience with process design based on Lean Principles
  • 5+ years Experience in Capital project management
  • 5+ years Experience with system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, and statistical analysis
  • 5+ years Experience with ownership/management of engineering design projects
  • 5+ years Experience using business/technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
  • Ability to travel 25% globally
