The Rural & Super Rural (RSR) Design Engineering team at Amazon is seeking a versatile, solutions-oriented Design Engineer to drive new automation initiatives and develop the next generation of world-class industrial building designs. This role presents an exciting opportunity to tackle complex challenges in warehouse and delivery center design with a focus on automation and robotics integration.

As a Design Engineer, you will:

  • Lead technical aspects of large-scale engineering projects, retrofits, and building designs
  • Create efficient layouts for warehouses and delivery centers using CAD software
  • Integrate cutting-edge automation and robotics solutions into facility designs
  • Develop simulation models to evaluate and optimize design performance
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, architects, and civil engineering
  • Analyze high-level demand projections to ensure future scalability
  • Conduct spatial integration and trade studies for proposed designs

You'll be joining the Last Mile Design Engineering team, a dynamic group at the forefront of innovation in logistics infrastructure. The team combines expertise in industrial engineering, operations research, and CAD design to create robust solutions for Amazon's rapidly expanding last-mile operations.

The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $89,400 to $185,000 per year based on location and experience, plus comprehensive benefits including equity and sign-on payments.   • Proficiency in analyzing data and performance metrics
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, R, SQL)
