Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to launch a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) to provide global broadband access. This role is for a Dynamics Test Engineer who will work on the critical mission of testing satellites and their subsystems, with a focus on dynamics testing including vibration table and acoustics. The role combines hands-on laboratory work with technical leadership, requiring expertise in environmental testing, data analysis, and process improvement. Responsibilities For Dynamics Test Engineer - 2nd Shift, Project Kuiper

  • Operate test consoles and conduct dynamic testing
  • Review test plans and write work instructions for technicians
  • Analyze post test data and write test reports
  • Review failure events and perform root cause analysis
  • Assess safe working conditions and write Job Hazard Analyses
  • Establish and increase efficiency of environmental test processes
  • Work 4x10 schedule, Sunday through Wednesday, 5:00PM to 3:30 AM

Requirements For Dynamics Test Engineer - 2nd Shift, Project Kuiper

Python
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering, or equivalent
  • 2+ years hands-on environmental test experience
  • 2+ years working with Data Acquisition systems
  • Familiar with installing test instrumentation
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee/asylee due to export control laws
