Description For Dynamics Test Engineer, Project Kuiper

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to revolutionize global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). This role presents an exciting opportunity for a Dynamics Test Engineer to join a groundbreaking space technology project aimed at bridging the digital divide worldwide.

As a Dynamics Test Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of satellite manufacturing and testing, working specifically with vibration table and acoustics testing. The position offers a unique blend of hands-on laboratory work and technical leadership, where you'll collaborate with designers, systems engineers, and analysts to develop and implement testing procedures for both development and production satellites.

The role demands a detail-oriented individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, working Wednesday through Saturday on a 4x10 schedule. You'll be responsible for operating test consoles, analyzing data, writing comprehensive work instructions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The position offers significant growth potential as you'll lead process improvement initiatives and work with cross-functional teams.

Key aspects of the role include conducting dynamic testing, reviewing test plans, analyzing post-test data, and performing root cause analysis for any failures. You'll also be instrumental in establishing and optimizing environmental test processes to facilitate the transition from engineering development to rate production.

The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $89,500 to $189,900 annually, depending on location and experience. Amazon offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical coverage, equity compensation, and sign-on payments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about space technology and interested in contributing to a project that will impact global connectivity.

The position requires U.S. citizenship or permanent residency due to export control regulations. Join Project Kuiper and be part of a team that's working to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
