Responsibilities For Embedded Firmware QA Engineer

  • Black and gray box testing on driver and userspace embedded software
  • Provide additional cross functional test support for other team members
  • Develop ad hoc tests to support engineering debug
  • Writing and executing test plans to ensure complete code coverage
  • Providing detailed bug reports to the engineering Team using JIRA
  • Work with distributed development and test teams
  • Prepare and maintain test beds and hardware

Requirements For Embedded Firmware QA Engineer

  • 3+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
  • Knowledge of QA methodology and tools
  • Experience in manual testing
  • Hands on knowledge of unix/linux
  • Excellent understanding of network protocols like TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP
  • Proficiency in L2/L3 networking concepts
  • Knowledge of wireless networking (802.11ac/ax/be)
  • Experience using Python and/or Linux shell scripting skills
  • Led small to mid sized projects from start to end
