Responsibilities For Embedded Firmware QA Engineer, eero

  • Black and gray box testing on driver and userspace embedded software
  • Provide cross functional test support for team members
  • New hardware test and support
  • Develop ad hoc tests to support engineering debug
  • Writing and executing test plans to ensure complete code coverage
  • Providing detailed bug reports using JIRA
  • Work with distributed development and test teams
  • Prepare and maintain test beds and hardware

Requirements For Embedded Firmware QA Engineer, eero

Python
Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer or Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years in Quality assurance role with 3+ years in testing embedded firmware
  • Working knowledge of unix/linux
  • Excellent understanding of network protocols like TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP
  • Proficiency in L2/L3 networking concepts
  • Knowledge of wireless networking (802.11ac/ax/be)
  • Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects
  • Experience in automation testing
