Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to revolutionize global connectivity through a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites. As an Embedded Software Dev Engineer on the Customer Terminal Software team, you'll be at the forefront of bringing high-speed broadband to underserved communities worldwide.

The role combines cutting-edge space technology with consumer electronics development, requiring expertise in embedded systems, real-time software, and Linux/RTOS environments. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing critical software components that enable satellite communication and RF control in Project Kuiper's customer-facing products.

Responsibilities For Embedded Software Dev Engineer, Project Kuiper Customer Terminal Software

  • Develop embedded software for terrestrial devices within the Project Kuiper system
  • Participate in all phases of SDLC including requirements gathering, design, code, test, and code/test coverage
  • Develop embedded software in assembly, C, C++, Rust or other languages
  • Review schematics, logic analyzer, and embedded software trouble-shooting techniques
  • Work collaboratively with teams inside and outside of Amazon
  • Design and implement embedded software for satellite communication and RF control

Requirements For Embedded Software Dev Engineer, Project Kuiper Customer Terminal Software

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee due to export control laws
