Description For Embedded Software Dev Engineer, Project Kuiper Customer Terminal Software

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to revolutionize global connectivity through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). As an Embedded Software Dev Engineer on the Customer Terminal Software Team, you'll be at the forefront of bringing fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. You'll design and implement critical embedded software for consumer terminal devices that connect customers to the Kuiper network.

The role combines cutting-edge space technology with consumer electronics, requiring expertise in embedded systems, real-time software, and Linux/RTOS environments. You'll work collaboratively across hardware, product, and operations teams to create reliable software solutions that power the next generation of satellite communication devices.

This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 based on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. You'll join a mission-driven team that's breaking new ground in satellite technology while making a meaningful impact on global connectivity. The role requires strong technical skills in embedded software development, system architecture, and a passion for solving complex engineering challenges.

Due to export control requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or have refugee/asylee status. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced embedded software engineers who want to contribute to a project with global significance while working with cutting-edge technology at one of the world's leading tech companies.
