The Grocery ECO team at Amazon is developing a revolutionary shopping experience using smart shopping carts. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, working on computer vision, sensor fusion, and advanced machine learning technologies.

Your role will involve:

  • Leading embedded systems development throughout the product lifecycle
  • Designing and implementing robust digital designs for various embedded devices
  • Performing board bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Contributing to IoT firmware architecture
  • Conceiving and executing comprehensive design validation tests
  • Partnering with vendors to deliver new components
  • Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to drive innovation

You'll work on cutting-edge technology that eliminates checkout lines, allowing customers to shop seamlessly using ECO carts. These carts scan products, track receipts in real-time, and charge customers' Amazon accounts automatically.

This position requires technical expertise, operational excellence, and the ability to drive innovation. You'll be part of a team pushing the boundaries of computer vision, machine learning, distributed systems, and hardware design.

The ideal candidate will have full-cycle product development experience and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Strong design and validation skills are essential, as is an understanding of operational excellence and product support.

Requirements For Embedded Software Engineer, Grocery ECO

Linux
  • 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience (preferred)
