AWS Infrastructure Services is at the heart of Amazon's cloud operations, responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of data center utility power in the Southwest (PHX) region of the US. As an Energy Projects Manager, you'll manage large-scale (100+ MW) power infrastructure projects, developing strategies for scaling and operating AWS's diverse, low-cost energy supply.

The position requires a strong background in energy and utilities, particularly in the WECC region. You'll work on developing and executing innovative energy projects, managing utility interactions, and coordinating between real estate, engineering, and planning teams.   • Manage multiple Utilities, EPC and Owner's Engineers to deliver power infrastructure projects
  • Manage capital budgets for electrical infrastructure and energy projects
  • Collaborate with internal teams and regulated utilities on energy projects
  • Identify and develop innovative cost savings projects
  • Work with utility regulators to develop policies and guidelines

Requirements For Energy Projects Manager, AMER, AIET West

Linux
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with focus on power and energy field
  • 5+ years of experience working in utility/energy industry
  • 2+ years of experience developing and delivering Medium Voltage and High Voltage electric infrastructure projects
  • 1+ years of experience analyzing energy projects and negotiating contracts
  • 1+ years of experience collaborating with external stakeholders
